Slowly pull the inflation pocket half way down, locate the oral tube and fully inflate your PFD. Leave overnight and if there is any loss of pressure, refer to an authorised stormy service agent (Click here for list of service agents)
NEVER ATTEMPT REPAIRS YOURSELF.
Deflate your lifejacket by reversing cap and inserting into oral tube valve.
Roll and fold the PFD to ensure complete deflation.
Check your CO2 gas cylinder - Remove it and check the sealed end had not been pierced, check for rust and if all ok, reinstall cylinder by screwing firmly into inflator.
If your CO2 cylinder has been discharged, it must be replaced.
Over a period of time the gas cylinder may work loose, if the cylinder is loose it will not inflate your PFD, check before every use that the cylinder is is srewed in firmly.
Check the marked expiry date on the side of your water activated cartridge and replace when necessary
Rinse salt from lifejacket after use, in fresh water only. Be sure to remove water sensing cartridge first, allow to dry thoroughly before refitting. Make sure the lifejacket is fully deflated before storing in a dry, well ventilated environment.
Full performance may not be achieved using waterproof types of clothing or in other circumstances.
Always wear your lifejacket as the outermost layer. Never wear your lifejacket under any garment or foul weather clothing.
This is not a lifejacket until fully inflated.
Re-arm using the manufacturers re-arming kit.
Failure to follow re-arming instructions in written order will cause accidental activation of the gas cylinder.
STORMY PFDs SHOULD be self checked regularly and serviced every 24 months for recreational users or every 12 months for professional use.
